Executive Order (EO) 13563, “Improving Regulation and Regulatory Review,” was signed by President Obama on January 18th 2011. EPA Region 4 Administrator, Gwendolyn Keyes Fleming, keynote speaker at the Council’s February GMM, expressed her appreciation for feedback provided by the Council and now invites our members to submit their comments on the EO to Wanda L. Specifically, EO 13563 calls on every agency to develop a preliminary plan consistent with law and its resources and regulatory priorities under which the agency will periodically review its existing regulations to determine whether these regulations should be modified, streamlined, expanded or repealed to make the agency’s regulatory program more effective and less burdensome toward achieving its objectives.
