State of the County Series
The State of the County series is an excellent example of the close working relationship between the Council and the local county governments across the region. In close collaboration with the office of the County Chairs in Cherokee, Clayton, DeKalb, Douglas/City of Douglasville, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, and Rockdale, the Council provides the counties with a platform to provide an annual update on achievements, projects, and the future, specifically geared to the business community and Council members.

Meet & Greet
The annual spring Meet & Greet is an incredible networking opportunity for the development community as it convenes elected and appointed local officials from across the region with Council members. This past May, the Council had the honor of hosting 350+ guests, including County Chairs and Commissioners, City Councilpersons and Mayors, Elected Officials from the State, and more for the second year in a row in the Plaza at Colony Square. As the only event of its kind to convene this level of regional representation in one place and evening, it is considered by many to be THE networking event of the year for the development industry.

State of MARTA
The State of MARTA is a collaborative event in which the Council works with their public partner, MARTA, to convene with business leaders across the metro Atlanta region for an annual update on projects, achievements, and the future.

State of the BeltLine
The State of the BeltLine is a collaborative event in which the Council works with their public partners at Atlanta BeltLine Inc. and the Atlanta Beltline Partnership, to convene with business leaders across the metro Atlanta region for an annual update on projects, achievements, and the future.

The INTERSECTION Conference
The INTERSECTION is a place where public policy and private investment meet to discuss metro Atlanta’s critical issues, hear best practices, and stay educated on topics as they relate to metro Atlanta’s ability to grow and prosper.

Four Pillar Tribute
The prestigious Four Pillar Tribute recognizes an outstanding individual in the region and the state who demonstrates the ‘Four Pillars’ of leadership – Quality, Responsibility, Vision and Integrity – and exemplifies the Council’s mission of promoting balanced and responsible growth. Past recipients include Senator Johnny Isakson, Arthur M. Blank, Governor Nathan Deal, Dan Cathy, Doug Hertz, Ambassador Andrew Young, and Carol Tome. CID Recognition Reception
The CID Recognition Reception is the only event of its kind in Georgia, which gathers together the Community Improvement Districts across the metro region in one place to recognize the work they do for their communities. The Council works with every active CID in the region and its members value their contribution to quality growth, and annually recognizes an individual for their outstanding efforts in the CID sector with the John Williams CID Leadership Award, named after the businessman who is locally known as the father of CIDs, who helped bring CIDs from concept to reality in Georgia.

The Annual Meeting & Legislative Reception
The Annual Meeting & Legislative Reception is a cocktail reception with members of the Georgia General Assembly to present the Council Membership’s upcoming Legislative Priorities, welcome new additions to our Board of Directors, and induct our new Chairman of the Board.
