Don't miss the opportunity to gather with some of the most influential leaders in metro Atlanta.
From the annual ‘State-of-the-County’ gatherings to our major award celebrations, our Signature Events are always special occasions. Of all the many benefits of Council membership, access these to these events might be the most significant.
State of the County Series
The State of the County series is an excellent example of the close working relationship between the Council and the local county governments across the region. In close collaboration with the office of the County Chairs in Cherokee, Clayton, DeKalb, Douglas/City of Douglasville, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, and Rockdale, the Council provides the counties with a platform to provide an annual update on achievements, projects, and the future, specifically geared to the business community and Council members.

It is to be determined if these events will be held in person, virtually, or as hybrid events in 2021.
Meet & Greet
The annual spring Meet & Greet is an incredible networking opportunity for the development community as it convenes elected and appointed local officials from across the region with Council members. In 2019, the Council had the honor of hosting 120+ elected officials with 400+ guests, and the event featured special remarks from Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan. As the only event of its kind to convene this level of regional representation in one place and evening, it is considered by many to be THE networking event of the year for the development industry.

The CID Recognition Reception is the only event of its kind in Georgia, which gathers together the Community Improvement Districts across the metro region in one place to recognize the work they do for their communities. The Council works with every active CID in the region and its members value their contribution to quality growth, and annually recognizes an individual for their outstanding efforts in the CID sector with the John Williams CID Leadership Award, named after the businessman who is locally known as the father of CIDs, who helped bring CIDs from concept to reality in Georgia.
