On May 6th, the City of Holly Springs issued a statement through its Planning Director, Mr. Brantley Day, that the City would no longer be considering a proposed Useable Lot Ordinance. After hearing from numerous sources including the Council for Quality Growth, individual developers, builders, and engineers, and City officials a determination was made that such an ordinance would not be needed and that concerns about lot usability could be addressed within the City’s existing codes and ordinances. The City will instead look to “refining” existing procedures and administrative tasks to address such concerns.
