Gwinnett County decided to delay consideration of a vacant property registry on Tuesday, March 1st. Several local governments in Georgia and across the country cannot locate owners of vacant and foreclosed property and have implemented a registry in order to keep track of who owns the property. The Council has been working with Gwinnett County and at the Capitol on a state wide model for counties and cities that choose to adopt a property registry. The measure has been tabled until the next commission meeting on March 15th.
