USGBC Public Comment Period for LEED for Neighborhoods

The US Green Building Council is in the process of developing a program to certify residential neighborhood developments.  The program has existed as a pilot since 2007.  The first public comment period lasted from November 2008 to January 2009.  The USGBC has just opened up a second public comment period which runs from May 1st to June 14th.  The LEED for Neighborhoods system encourages principles of smart growth like infill development, mixed use, and areas adjacent to transit.
