The Gwinnett County Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Committee met on October 20th. The committee reviewed the structure of the UDO and the progress to date. Members of the committee reviewed the zoning districts, overlays, use standards and dimensional standards. Also, the UDO committee received an update on the Research & Development Corridor.
Throughout 2011, Gwinnett County and its project team will be working to update, streamline and combine the County’s existing zoning resolution, development regulations and other ordinances into one coordinated code document – the Unified Development Ordinance. The Council is part of the UDO Advisory Committee and will be on hand to offer and industry perspective as Gwinnett County moves forward on this initiative. The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, December 15th from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm at 446 W. Crogan Street in Lawrenceville. You can learn more about the UDO at the link below.
