The Transit Governance Task Force met on November 9th to continue discussions about the creation of an entity that will oversee the region’s transit system in the future. The Atlanta Regional Commission presented their priority position to the members of the Task Force. This position includes having local elected officials as the majority board representation, a regional entity rather than a state wide agency, and a proportional voting structure based on financial contribution and population.
