The Council for Quality Growth Congratulates ARC 2012 Developments of Excellence Award Winners

Council for Quality Growth Members, Cousins Properties and Gables Residential received the award for Exceptional Merit for Infill Development for their work at Emory Point.  This modern retail and residential space sets a new environmentally friendly standard for the Emory Community.

Additional congratulations are in order to the City of Norcross, under the leadership of Mayor Bucky Johnson, for winning the Exceptional Merit for LCI Achievement for the revitalization of  the downtown by reinventing worn buildings and parks to create a sense of community with a new Cultural Arts Community Center and a new public space for gatherings and festivals.

Congratulations to the City of Decatur for winning the Great Place Award for their commitment to the vision of knowing what they want to be and achieving that goal with a friendly downtown landscape that offers modern features with a small town twist.

The City of Atlanta and Historic Fourth Ward Park Conservancy took home the prestigious 2012 Development of Excellence Award for their creative approach to revitalizing the Fourth Ward Park, in conjunction with the Atlanta BeltLine.  This is truly a magnificent area and a benefit to the City of Atlanta.
