At the City Council’s work session on December 3rd, several amendments to the City’s Zoning Ordinance were discussed including revisions to the Town Center Overlay District Design Standards and the Conservation Subdivision District. The Overlay amendments are tailored to create more specificity in the design criteria and calls for the establishment of a new Design Review Board. The CSO amendments are changes in language that brings the ordinance into line with MNGWPD standards regarding the percentage of contiguous open space requirements. The City is also considering amending its municipal codes regarding overcrowding standards. All of the items have been tabled to allow additional time for the City’s staff to address various issues and concerns. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and report any changes.
