The Rockdale Board of Commissioners is considering adoption of a Stonecrest Area Overlay District (STOD), which is generally described as the area of the county bounded by I-20 on the north, McDaniel Mill Road on the east, Turner Road on the south, and Abbott Road and the DeKalb County line to the west. The purpose of establishing the district is to help guide land use, transportation, and design elements in the Stonecrest area. The BOC discussed the overlay district at its meeting on August 8th and voted to table it until the November 9th Planning Commission meeting.
