Gabriel Sterling won the Sandy Springs City Council seat by 75 percent of the vote on Tuesday, March 15th. Sterling collected 614 votes to beat Chiteka Jackson (160 votes) and Dennis Williams (37 votes) in the District 4 special election to fill the seat vacated by Ashley Johnson two months ago. Mr. Sterling opposed any increase on property taxes and proposed to lay groundwork to solve the area’s traffic problems during his campaign. The Council congratulates Mr. Sterling on his victory and looks forward to working with him in the future.
