A number of Gwinnett County employees have elected to accept early retirement packages from the county in order to help the county deal with its budget issues. County Administrator Jock Connell is among those who have chosen to leave their current position. Connell will be replaced by Planning Director Glenn Stephens. Connell will stay with the county through the end of 2009 to transition Mr. Stephens into that role.
