The Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness for Georgians released a final report of their findings on January 7th. The Council was established in accordance with House Bill 1405 and signed into law by Governor Perdue on June 1, 2010. The Council completed a thorough study of the state’s current tax revenue structure and examined how to develop a more fair and efficient tax structure in the future.
