The Regional Transit Governance Committee introduced a transit governance legislation concept outline at their meeting on Wednesday, January 26th. This type of legislation would establish a regional transit governance structure in Atlanta. Many think a regional transit governance structure would help the sales tax referendum up for approval in August 2012. The ARC will deliver the proposed legislation to the Transit Governance Study Commission led by Representative Donna Sheldon. You can read some of the guiding principles of the legislation here.
