Chairman Phil Miller to Deliver 2024 State of Douglas County Address
Over 200 Expected to Attend Annual Address at the Douglasville Conference Center on April 17

DOUGLAS COUNTY, GA – The Council for Quality Growth, in partnership with the Douglas County Chamber and Douglas County Government, will host the 2024 State of Douglas County Address on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Douglasville Conference Center. The lunch will feature remarks from Douglas County Board of Commissioners Chairman Phil Miller. The 2024 State of Douglas is presented by Atlas Technical Consultants and Elevate Douglas. Over 200 Council and Chamber members, elected officials, businesses, residents, county staff, and partners of Douglas County are expected to attend on Wednesday.

The Council’s State of Douglas County annually convenes the county’s business community with its local government bodies, as well as with other local leaders from across the region. Chairman Phil Miller will deliver his first State of Douglas County address to present achievements and projects from the last year, in addition to an outlook for what’s ahead in 2024.

The Council for Quality Growth works with Douglas County and its local municipalities year-round to advocate for our members doing business in those areas. “Douglas County continues to be a thriving economic center, attracting business, creating jobs, and improving the quality of life for its residents,” said Michael Paris, President & CEO of the Council for Quality Growth. “We’re excited to partner with the County and the Chamber on this event each year and look forward to hearing from Chairman about all the progress being made.”

The State of Douglas will feature remarks from Sally Riker, 2024 Council Chair and Vice President of Strategy & Growth at Atlas. Todd Long, Georgia Division Lead at Atlas, and Chris Pumphrey, President at Elevate Douglas, will give presenting sponsor remarks. Attendees will also hear from Douglas County’s Chief Communications Officer, Yvette Jones, Douglas County Chamber’s President & CEO Sara Ray and Chair Trent North, as well as Danny Johnson, Managing Director of the Natural Resources Department of the ARC’s Metro North Georgia Water Planning District.
