DeKalb Development Authority pumps new life into the creation of the Stone Mountain Community Improvement District.
Focusing on East Central DeKalb, the DeKalb Development Authority recently presented an additional $20,000 dollars in the effort to establish an economic development plan for the critical area. These funds are in addition to the previously awarded $80,000 dollars provided by the Atlanta Regional Commission to the Stone Mountain Community Improvement District. The CID’s main goal is to generate 2,000 new jobs in the area by the end of 2013. Other CID’s in the Metro Atlanta Region have enjoyed boundless development and economic successes in recent years; Stone Mountain is looking to share in the same.
