The Atlanta Regional Commission has awarded the City of Marietta an $80,000 grant for an Livable Centers Initiative (LCI) study along Cobb Parkway and South Marietta Parkway. The study includes an exploration into links between Southern Polytechnic State University and Life University as well as linking the schools with the surrounding community.
“The joint study will examine ways to link SPSU and Life universities that will enable them to share resources,” city of Marietta senior urban planner Kyethea Clark said. “The study will look at the surrounding community to see how it can better serve the universities, faculty, students and nearby businesses.”
