The Cobb County Commission voted unanimously to approve new design codes for Mableton on Tuesday, February 22nd. The county hired a Miami-based firm to create the code and collect constituent feedback. Several audience members and speakers supported the design change. There were some opponents who argued the new code would make the development decision process less transparent and take away resident input into future development.
