n June 17th, the GDOT Board voted to move forward on th proposed HOT lane conversion project on I-85 between Spaghetti Junction and Old Peachtree Road. The approval means that GDOT will now begin acceptig bids on the proposed project. The project would include construction of managed HOT lanes on I-85 NB and SB where the existing HOV lanes are constructed. The proposal was deferred in May over concerns about the tolling technology, but the Board chose to move forward and continue to monitor those concerns.
