Forsyth is an up and coming advisory, as the Council expands our membership and area development begins to recover. Recently, Council for Quality Growth member Cindy Mills was elected to the Forsyth County Commission and has asked the Council to provide input on various issues relating to planning and zoning, along with other areas of interests to our membership. Of late, the Council was successful in working with Board of Commissioners and members of the Planning Department and Planning Commission throughout the process of determining a new definition of “lot.” The definition is simplified and more consistent with surrounding counties and municipalities in order to encourage economic growth and attract new development to Forsyth County.
