GDOT to Work with Lowe Engineers to Pilot Program Marketing Unused Land Parcels to Generate Revenue

The Georgia Department of Transportation has found a new way generate revenue for the state. GDOT has found itself with several land parcels that it was required to buy for staging areas for construction and various other uses.

Sally Riker with Lowe Engineers is working on a project with GDOT to market these land parcels, which will go live within the next few months. To start, the program will be marketing only a few of the thousands of available parcels in GDOT’s possession.

The Council for Quality Growth supports this program and is excited to see it develop into a success.
