GDOT released a new strategic transportation plan on December 31st. The new plan is required under the reorganization of GDOT that took place with SB 200 in 2009. New GDOT Director of Planning Todd Long oversaw development of the plan. The General Assembly has until February 15th to provide comments to GDOT concerning specifics within the plan. After that point, the plan will need to be approved by the Governor and the State Transportation Board.
