The Council would like to announce, to those of you who do not know, that Mr. Frank Stephens, Director of the Department of Water Resources has resigned his position effect as of last Friday. He had served in the position since 2004. Mr. Stephens will continue his service with DWR in a new position as Assistant to the Director where he will be providing consultation on policy and administrative issues. He is being replaced on an interim basis by Mrs. Lynn Smarr. She has been with DWR since 1987. She previously served as Assistant Director for DWR. The county will be conducting a nationwide search to find a permanent replacement for the position of Director.
