Forsyth County Commissioner Jeff Boff has replaced former Commission Chairman Brian Tam as the new Chairman. The Board voted 3-2 to replace Tam with Boff. Earlier in the meeting, the County Commissioners unanimously passed a measure that spreads the power of the commissioners evenly with no one seat more powerful than the other. Previously, the chairman had the power to add items to the commission agenda. The chairman could also remove items from the agenda twice a year. The new regulations also require the chairman to receive majority board approval on appointments of community members to various advisory boards in the county.
