On Thursday, August 16, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners approved a limited (90 day) moratorium on the exclusion of easements in lot size calculations. This moratorium bars the application of an interpretation of the UDC lot size exclusion language that requires all easements to be subtracted, even if otherwise within unbuildable portions of a lot due to setbacks or buffers, from the calculation of a lot’s size for 90 days.
