The Dekalb County Foreclosure Registry was approved on July 27th. It requires a property to be registered within 30 consecutive calendar days following a foreclosure sale or proceeding. A non-refundable fee of $175 is due at the time of registration. This ordinance applies to residential and commercial real properties foreclosed on after October 27, 2010 in unincorporated Dekalb County. Robert Broome, Director of Government Affairs for the Atlanta Board of Realtors, and other stakeholders are working with Dekalb County to address some concerns they have regarding the ordinance.
