Federal Funding for Gwinnett Transportation Projects

The Georgia Department of Transportation announced federal funding for eight construction projects in Gwinnett County on May 31st.  The projects to be funded include: Buford Highway median landscaping ($150,000),  Buford Highway transit-oriented sidewalk/park ($450,000), Brushy Creek greenway and Suwanee Dam Road trail ($450,000), Georgia 141 Access Road sidewalk ($250,000), Georgia Gwinnett College pedestrian paths ($500,000), Norcross pedestrian connectivity ($100,000), Satellite Boulevard pedestrian and transit connector ($450,000), Southeastern Railway Museum ($500,000).  These projects will be funded through the federal transportation enhancement program which funds projects like walking and biking trails, landscaping and historic preservation of transportation related facilities.
