Dunwoody City Council Meeting Regarding Proposed Building Code Amendment Coming Up on March 24th

 
   
The Dunwoody City Council is scheduled to have its second reading and possible adoption of a proposed amendment to Code Section 8-1(e)(1). The amendment would require buildings greater than three (3) stories in height to be framed with noncombustible materials. This would mean metal and/or concrete construction.
The Council has already expressed its concerns with the proposed amendment before the Dunwoody City Council and has expressed its willingness to work with the City to forge a policy solution that will foster responsible growth and development in Dunwoody. We are very appreciative to the City Council and Community Development Director Steve Foote for this opportunity.
Due to the significant ramifications that this amendment could have on development in Dunwoody, your input and participation is urged. The Dunwoody City Council meeting will be held at the following time and location:
