Cobb County – District 3 Commissioner Tim Lee has announced he will qualify for his run for County Chairman without resigning from the Board. This procedure will allow for the Board to appoint an interim Commissioner to serve in the District 3 position when Lee subsequently resigns. Otherwise, the Board would be in a position of operating with three members. Former District Commission Thea Powell has agree to serve in the interim position. See Marietta Daily Journal story HERE
