Timothy Swiney and Bob Clark have formally withdrawn as candidates for Gwinnett County Commission chairman. Swiney withdrew on December 22nd and stated his decision was based on obligations to his family. Clark withdrew on December 27th and did not give a reason for his withdrawl. The four remaining candidates now are Charlotte Nash of Dacula, Larry Gause of Tucker, Gerald Duane Kissel of Snellville ane Will Costa of Lilburn. Qualifying for the vacant board chairman post ended at noon on Wednesday, December 8th. The deadline for voter registration is February 14th, 2011 and the special election will be held on March 15th, 2011.
