Council Welcomes Sonia Linton as New Policy Analyst

On May 8, 2023, the Council for Quality Growth welcomed a new member to the team, Sonia Linton. Sonia joins the Council as a Policy Analyst to support the organization’s key advocacy efforts. In her role, she will gather, analyze, and interpret information related to key policy areas, including infrastructure planning and funding, regulatory issues, land use, transportation and environmental planning policies, and other legislative initiatives impacting our members.

Sonia’s addition to the team will further enable the Council’s efforts to advocate on behalf of metro Atlanta’s development industry, across the 11 counties and 87 local governments within our reach. She brings to the Council industry experience from both public and private sector roles. “We’re excited to have Sonia join the team,” said Joseph Santoro, Director of Policy & Government Affairs, “I’m confident her experience on both sides of the Council’s core policy issues will provide great value to the work we’ve set out to accomplish across the region.”

Prior to joining the Council, Sonia has held various roles in land use, city planning, and zoning and site development for private firms and county government. She is energetic about smart planning and urban design. Sonia received a master’s degree in Environmental Planning and Design from UGA’s College of Environmental and Design. In her free time, Sonia enjoys spending time with her dog, at the stables working horses and relaxing with a book.

Please join the Council in welcoming Sonia to the team.
