Council for Quality Growth Board Member Heath Garrett Appointed to Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission

Governor Nathan Deal has appointed Heath Garrett to the Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission.  Heath is a member of the Board of Directors for the Council for Quality Growth as well as the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce and the Georgia chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  He currently leads the Southeast office of the Stevens and Schreifer Group, a national media advertising firm.

Heath served as U.S. Senator Johnny Isakson’s chief of staff and chief political strategist on Isakson’s successful campaigns in 2004 and 2010.  He has also worked on campaigns for Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens, Secretary of State Brian Kemp and the Georgia Republican Party.  Heath is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law where he served as an editor for the Georgia Law Review.  Heath and his wife, Lee, have three children and currently reside in Marietta.  The Council would like to congratulate Heath.
