Council for Quality Growth and Tucker CID Co-Host Development Roundtable with Interim DeKalb CEO Lee May at Council Office

The Council and the Tucker CID co-hosted a Development Community Roundtable Breakfast with DeKalb Interim CEO Lee May and Deputy COO Luz Borrero at the Council’s offices, in order to voice the development community’s concerns, challenges that the county has with economic development from the development community’s perspective, current perspectives and opportunities for change. As many of you may know, the Council has been working with the county and Interim CEO May since they began the process of a SWOT Analysis with Angelou Economics late last year.
This was a great opportunity for the Council to express not only concerns, but praise for the work done by CEO May and his staff, as well as to help them as they work to bring DeKalb into a new era for business and economic development.

“The Tucker CID is pleased that the Administration is now actively engaged in working to make DeKalb a more business friendly environment to do business here in the County. The changes needed for implementation are critical for DeKalb’s economic recovery, particularly east of the Perimeter,” said Ann Rosenthal, President of the Tucker CID.
