The Cobb Electric Membership Corporation (Cobb EMC) announced that it will be taking a step back from coal-powered energy and instead invest in solar-power. Cobb-EMC has entered into an agreement to buy solar-power from an initiative put together by Jacoby Development. This power will be produced at a facility in Davisboro, Georgia. Cobb EMC’s agreement represents the largest solar-power project in Georgia’s history, and will result in the production of 10 megawatts of power annually.
