On November 27th, Mayor Shirley Franklin held a press conference to announce the recommendations of the Affordable Workforce Housing Implementation Task Force. Among the recommendations are a voluntary Inclusionary Zoning Ordinance that includes a 20% density bonus with a 10% affordability requirement, and offers a 25% reduction in permitting fees. The City plans to implement all of the task force’s recommendations by the the summer of 2007.
