The City of Cartersville took a first step towards developing a Tree Ordinance at its regular meeting on May 3rd. The Council approved a contract with Technical Forestry Services to complete a Community Tree Inventory and Management Plan. The goal is to use the plan as a catalyst to develop a full-fledged Tree Ordinance for the protection of trees in the downtown area and throughout the community.
