At its regular meeting on November 2nd the Cartersville City Council unanimously voted to adopt a stormwater utility and a credits program for the City. The program is scheduled to begin in January 2007 and will charge residences with 3000 sq. ft. or less of impervious surface $3.75 per month, residences with up to 10,000 sq. ft. of impervious surface will be charged $5.25 per month, and residences with more than 10,000 sq. ft. will be charged at the same rate as commercial establishments- $3.75 per 3,000 sq. ft. of impervious surface.
The credits program is designed to reduce the burden placed on commercial developments within the city. The maximum credit allowed is 60%. For more details please visit the following link:
