At its regular meeting on May 17th, the Cartersville City Council held the first reading and public hearing on a proposed amendment to the City’s Stormwater Utility Ordinance that would exempt detached residential properties with 10,000 sq.ft. or more of impervious surface from the current commercial calculations. The new rate for such properties will be $5.25 per month based on the current normal upper tier calculations for residential properties. The item is scheduled for second reading and vote at the City Council’s next meeting on Thursday, June 7th at 7 PM.
