The Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia Senate have adopted HB 373 and HB 378, which change the way that BOC and BOE officials are elected. The new legislation requires that each member reside in the district they represent, and be elected only by those within that district. The Chairman of the BOC would continue to be elected by the members of the BOC.
