Atlanta Regional Commission Awards $34 Million for Transit Upgrades

The Atlanta Regional Commission has awarded 13 metro Atlanta governments a total of $34 million for transportation projects as part of its Livable Centers Initiative (LCI), a program that awards planning grants on a competitive basis to local governments and nonprofit organizations to prepare plans for the enhancement of existing centers and corridors consistent with regional development policies.  Each of the projects awarded transit funds includes pedestrian and bicycle improvements as well as innovative technology upgrades.
