Gwinnett County held a public hearing on the privatization of Briscoe Field on April 28th at 7 pm. About 800 people showed up to the hearing at 12Stone Church, Central Campus, Main Sanctuary at 1322 Buford Drive in Lawrenceville. Each speaker had 3 minutes to make their case. Speakers on the proponent side were allotted the first 15 minutes of the comment period then speakers from the opposition were allotted the next 15 minutes. This pattern repeated itself until both sides had exhausted 45 minutes. Anyone wanting to submit written comments for the record can send them to the County Clerk Diane Kemp via e-mail at countyclerk@gwinnettcounty.com or by mail to 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, GA 30046 from April 22nd to April 29th. The Gwinnett Board of Commissioners is expected to vote on this issue May 3rd.
