On Thursday, September 14th, 2023, The Council welcomed Rob Logan to September’s Advisory Roundtable for Cherokee County. Thank you Rob for sharing your team’s progress in the city of Holly Springs, and thank you Nagel & Co. for sponsoring today’s event.
Rob’s presentation was a thorough and exciting look into the future of Holly Springs. Their City Council is focused on smart growth and community engagement. Current development consists mostly of quality residential and mixed use spaces, many around the city’s center. Traffic management then plays a key role in promoting smart growth; Rob discussed plans for road widenings, intersection realignments, and an “industrial connector” between Holly Springs and Hickory Flat.
Holly Springs’ Town Center project was a highlight of today’s meeting. The development will feature community green spaces, an amphitheater, a new city hall (see below), a parking garage, a large brewery, retail stores, restaurants, and apartments and lofts. New townhomes and city homes will scatter the surrounding area.
The City Council’s Director of Communications, Erin Honea, also previewed a few variations of the city’s new brand (see below).
