Roswell Unified Development Code

Recently, Mayor Wood spoke to the Council for Quality Growth’s North Fulton Advisory Committee and addressed his and the City Council work on the new Unified Development Code (UDC) to address modern development and zoning practices; Additionally, the rewrite seeks to simplify the current code to better address issues for city administrators and create fewer barriers for the development community.

The UDC process will take 18-24 months and will involve an assessment of the current zoning code, including how it coincides with the Imagine Roswell 2030 and the Economic Development Strategic Plan. The UDC will also work to identify key issues with the current code and write a new code to achieve the goals set by the Mayor and City Council.  The Council for Quality Growth will be working the city to promote polices that continue to bring in commercial development and to encourage single-family development, which is on the rise in the Metro Region.

For more information, UDC meetings will be held at City Hall in Room 220 on:

  • April 11 at 7:00 p.m.
  • June 6 at 7:00 p.m.
