GM Plant Redevelopment

Dekalb CEO Burrell Ellis traveled to Washington D.C. this week.  CEO Ellis went to the nation’s capital to lobby for funding to redevelop the vacant GM plant in Doraville.  CEO Ellis met with the Assistant Secretary of Economic Development at the Department of Commerce, John Fernandez.  Ellis also spoke with Congressman Tom Price, Congressman Hank Johnson and House Transportation Committee Chairman John Mica on his ideas about what the site can be used for and potentially using unspent stimulus dollars to fund the redevelopment.
