Since 1999, Peachtree City has had a moratorium on multi-family zoning and rezoning applications. In order to request multi-family zoning, an applicant must first ask City Council to lift the moratorium as it applies to his or her property before submitting an application to staff. The deadline for the moratorium is January 2007. A public hearing on the extension of the moratorium for another year will be held at the regular City Council meeting on Thursday, November 16th at 7:00 PM.
