On October 16th, the Tyrone Town Council voted to repeal its impact fees for Public Safety, Libraries, and recreation, effective immediately. The Town will keep its Fire impact fees which are collected County-wide because fire protection services are provided by Fayette County. For the past two years, the Town has had to refund impact fees to developers because not enough money was collected over the preceding five year period to pay for any projects. Impact fees in the Town were previously $1057 per residential unit and will now be $600.57 per unit.
