County Bonding Issues

On September 8th, CQG met with county officials to discuss pending issues related to the County’s current bonding requirements. According to staff, the county will soon release a draft of several proposed modifications to the bonding regulations. The county seeks to create a single all-in-one bond document as opposed to the current multiple individual bonds within a development. As a part of that effort, CQG has pushed for greater relaxation in bond release criteria and the prevention of a perpetual bond. CQG has been working on the matter since late in 2007, when the county proposed much tougher regulations. The matter stalled, however, and has remained quiet since February.
