Rockdale County staff has proposed a draft Senior Housing Overlay Ordinance which is expected to go to the Planning Commission in July. The draft ordinance allows four units per acre. Senior developments must be located within two to three miles of service areas where grocery, medical and other service needs are located and must also be within two miles north or south of I-20.
