At its regular meeting on May 3rd, the Cartersville City Council voted 4-1 to deny support for a resolution supporting the submittal of the Etowah HCP to U.S. Fish & Wildlife for federal review and approval. The city’s decision to reject the resolution rested on “lack of information’ about the HCP and its potential impacts on the City. According to city officials the matter is not expected to be reconsidered.
