The Gwinnett County Unified Development Ordinance Advisory Committee met on August 18th. The committee reviewed many of the familiar zoning districts in the draft of Chapter 206 along with the Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) zoning district and the new stand alone Open Space Conservation (OSC) zoning district which will replace the Conservation Subdivision Overlay (CSO). Gwinnett County has also posted the UDO draft for Chapter 210 which addresses overlay districts and Chapter 214 which deals with standards applying to all districts on the UDO website.
Throughout 2011, Gwinnett County and its project team will be working to update, streamline and combine the County’s existing zoning resolution, development regulations and other ordinances into one coordinated code document – the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). The Council is part of the UDO Advisory Committee and will be on hand to offer an industry perspective as Gwinnett County moves forward on this initiative. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 20th from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. You can visit the links below to learn more.
